Dr. Oscar Elías Biscet: Lineage of Heroes

If someone said something similar to when the courage of many disappears there are a few who have the courage of many. Biscet is an example of this statement.

Biscet was born on July 20, 1961, to a humble family in Havana. In 1985, he received a medical degree, specializing in internal medicine. In 1987, he was practicing medicine and teaching courses at the Hospital Obstétrico-Pediátrico Hijas de Galicia where using non official statistics he was able to prove the barbaric abortion procedures that were being done there and all over Cuba; they were performed and continued to be performed as a matter of government policy. His moral principles compelled him to stage various pro life protests which led authorities initiate charges against him in 1994 for carrying out “dangerous activities.”

In 1997, Dr. Biscet, along with companions from the peaceful resistance movement started the Lawton Foundation for Human Rights. They collaborated for over 10 months to carry out a clandestine investigation to document the abortion procedures carried out by the government.

In 1999, Dr. Biscet was arrested and officially accused of crimes such as “dishonoring national symbols,” “disorderly conduct,” “inciting others to commit delinquent acts,” etcetera.

After multiple arrests and unproductive pressure by having him undergo several psychiatric evaluations at the hospital in Mazorra, to force him to leave the country, Dr. Biscet has been set free due to his strength and the chaotic situation that the terrible Castro communist regime faces at home and internationally.

IDEA congratulates Dr. Oscar Elías Biscet for being a strong hold the future restoration of the Cuban institutions.

Deadly Loves

Perhaps this title coincides with that of a film but what is certain is that unbridled passions

Have destroyed individuals, families, groups of humanity even society. In spite of

All the advice from professionals in the field of health and from the vise men throughout history, the human race continues self destructing in the process.

Some censure me for using famous quotes in my writings but it does not bother me or shame me since it is impossible to top well chosen words, but as the philosopher Littre stated: Why should I not make use of these expressions, even about a contemporary, if simplicity and fertility are signs of the concepts of a genius?” And though I consider myself a simple man of normal intelligence I seek possible ways of making myself understood by all people since there is nothing new in this life.

I restate Solomon’s proverb:

“What has been that will be; what has been done, that will be done. Nothing is new under the sun.”

Some passions have a negative influence on individuals and society. For example:

· A love passion turned into hatred.

· An envious person who faints love.

· Someone with ambition for money

· A democrat who is friends with a tyrant.

True love is described in the Bible in 1st. Corinthians; Chapter 13; Verses 3-7.

1. If I speak in human and angelic tongues but do not have love, I am resounding gong or a clashing cymbal.

2. And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all my mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have, I am nothing.

3. If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.

4. Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous (love) is not pompous, it is not inflated,

5. It is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury,

6. It does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.

7. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Democrats: Do not praise the tyrant as Virgil did. At least, A. Chamberlain had courage and did not err by saying he was Hitler’s friends. To praise the tyrant is to eternalize a false hero and make people suffer. It is better to support the Cuban people in their quest for freedom than to befriend the tyrant; but company destroys good habits.
